Lord Mayor of Westminster 2017 -2018
Steve Summers, 90x70 cm (35x27 inches), Oil on Linen
From formal business portraits to family commissions, paintings are timeless works of art that grace homes and offices for decades — becoming heirlooms passed down from generation to generation.
What makes my approach to portrait commissions unique is that I see each individual as an opening into the larger narrative of their life — their presence, their story, and what matters most to them.
Clients are invited to answer my signature question, and their response becomes the ground for collaboration. This exchange shapes the portrait, giving it depth and direction.
A portrait is a work of art made to last. Whether it marks a life stage, honors a loved one, or captures a turning point — it becomes part of the family’s story, carried forward for generations.

Commission Process
The first step is to reach out using the Commission Request Form below. Please include a short description of the subject. I’ll reply with a tailored estimate. All portraits are painted in oil, on canvas or Dibond (aluminium panel).
Once we agree on subject, size, and price, I’ll send a written agreement. A non-refundable deposit of 35% confirms the commission.
Next comes a photo session. I create a series of sketches for review, and you choose your preferred composition. When the design is approved, I begin the painting. Life sittings are welcome when possible, but not required — I work from prepared references.
The remaining balance (plus shipping, if needed) is due upon completion and your approval. Installment plans are available by request.

Pricing
Each portrait is priced individually, based on size and complexity.
As a general guideline, smaller formats (30–50 cm) start from €4,000.
Feel free to get in touch for a specific price quote based on your desired format or idea.
